BOULDER, Colo. - The Nevada Men's Golf team carded a 292 (-4) for the final round of competition at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, bringing their 54-hole score to 865 (+1), as the Pack earned a seventh-place finish in the 17-team field.
Nevada finished ahead of Mountain West foes Wyoming, Boise State, and Air Force after putting together their best 54-hole score of the season thus far.
After carding back-to-back rounds of 69-71, freshman Jonathan Kim closed out the event with a 73 (+1) in the final round, placing him in a tie for 15th on the final leaderboard at -3. Kim tallied 10 pars and four birdies throughout the final round, as the freshman put together the best 54-hole performance of his young career.
Tom Patterson carded an even-par 72 for the final round, advancing him 11 spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for 29th overall at +1. Patterson tallied 12 pars and three birdies throughout the final round.
After recording a 76 (+4) in the second round, Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae bounced back in the third round to card a 73 (+1), propelling him to a T35 finish at +2. Seelanagae had eight pars and five birdies across the final set of 18 holes.
Keita Okada closed out what was a highly consistent tournament with a 74 (+2), placing him in a tie with Seelanagae for 35th at +2 on the final leaderboard. Okada tallied 12 pars and two birdies on the final day of the competition.
Alex Maxwell rounded out the Wolf Pack lineup, carding a 79 (+7) for the final round of play.
