RENO, Nev. - Nevada golfer Victoria Gailey was named Mountain West Co-Golfer of the Month Friday, following her dominant victory at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic earlier this week.

The honor is Gailey's second weekly/monthly conference award of her career. She was previously named Mountain West Golfer of the Week, March 18, 2021. She shared this month's honor with San Jose State's Kajsa Arwefjall.

At this past week's tournament in Fort Collins, Gailey set Nevada program records for single-round low (65, in the first round), 36-hole tournament low (133), and 54-hole tournament low (201). Her final score of 201 also set the tournament record, as she finished at -15 (65-68-68=201) to clear the field by five strokes.

The tournament victory was the second of her career, following the 2021 BYU Spring Classic, and helped Nevada to the tournament team title. Gailey's 201 paced a team performance that set Nevada team records, as the Pack set the program's single-round low (274, in the third round) and 54-hole low (832), while it finished at -32, 18 strokes ahead of runner-up Cal Poly.

Earlier in September, Gailey finished T-17 at the Coeure d'Alene Collegiate Invitational, as the Pack came in second in the team standings. Gailey posted rounds of 70-72-74 to finish +3 (216) for the event.

Over her six rounds in September, Gailey posted an average score of 69.50 with 25 birdies and two eagles.

Nevada plays the third of its four fall tournaments this Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 3-4, at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, in Tacoma, Wash.
