RENO, Nev. – Nevada's track and field student-athlete
Nicola Ader has been nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.
Ader, a member of the Nevada track and field team since 2017 finished her career in 2022 as one of the most decorated athletes in school history. Nicola earned seven All-America honors, was the Mountain West Champion in the high jump event four years in a row, and earned multiple medals throughout her Wolf Pack career.
In 2022, the Afforlterbach, Germany native received the Mountain West Outdoor Outstanding Performer of the Championships. Earn a personal best in the javelin with a mark of 45.23m and finished ninth in Heptathlon at NCAA Championships, accumulating 5,647 points that led to her earning her seventh All-America status.
Ader has also established multiple school records, including the 27-year-old school record in the heptathlon with a total of 5,836 points.
The NCAA Woman of the Year award is in its 32nd year with 577 nominations spread among all three NCAA divisions. The most nominees came from Division I with 248, followed by Division III (202) and Division II (127).
