Nevada Football inks KK Meier, cornerback from Texas

RENO, Nev. -- The Nevada football program today, led by Head Coach Ken Wilson, announces the signing of corner back KK Meier out of Frenship High School in Wolfforth, Texas.

Meier is an unrated prospect, per 247Sports.com, but was an all-league player in the Lubbock region (Wolfforth is 11 miles southwest of Lubbock). He's listed at 6 feet and 180 pounds and had 43 tackles last season, including three for loss. Meier also had four interceptions, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.

On offense, he had one carry for 11 yards and two catches for 86 yards, including a touchdown. He was named to Lone Star Varsity's all-Lubbock region first team as a defensive back. Meier also was a member of Frenship's basketball team, which went 30-4 last year and ranked 22nd in MaxPreps' state of Texas rankings.
