FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -Â Three of Nevada Women's Track & Field's four qualifiers competed Thursday at the first day of the NCAA Women's Outdoor Track & Field West Preliminary in Fayetteville, Ark.
Nicola Ader (Long Jump),
Emily Costello (200 Meters, 400 Meters), and
Camrin Dolcini (Pole Vault) were all in action.
Iesha Hamm will compete in High Jump Saturday at 12:30 p.m. PT.
Ader was first up among the Pack contingent Thursday, in the second flight of the Long Jump field. Ader notched a top mark of 5.92 meters, finishing 35th, three-tenths of a meter shy of the top 12 and a qualifying spot.
Ader will continue her campaign at the NCAA Championships June 8-11 in Eugene, Ore., competing in the heptathlon.
Costello, the only member of the Pack competing in multiple events in Fayetteville, opened her night in the second heat of the 400 Meters, clocking a time of 54.03. The time would end up 28th among the field, just four spots off of a berth in Saturday's quarterfinal. An hour later, Costello competed in the 200 Meters, with her time of 23.68 coming in 28th, just four-hundredths of a second shy of qualifying for Saturday's quarterfinal.
Dolcini, among the field of 48 in Pole Vault, did not record a height in the competition, falling short of advancing.
