Victoria Gailey made three birdies and shot 71 (E) to climb 11 spots up the leaderboard into 27th at the Stanford Regional Tuesday. The round marked the second-lowest round in program history at an NCAA Regional.

Gailey got off to a great start on Hole 1 of today's action after sinking a birdie on a 501-yard par-five to drop her score to one-over for the round. She knocked in four straight pars until a bogey on six moved her back to even. Another bogey on nine dropped her to one-over going through the turn.

The senior from Tigard, Ore., responded with two birdies on the back-nine. She posted a four on 12, which is a 477-yard par-five, and a birdie on 14, a 171-yard par-three, to climb back to even. Gailey then finished the round with four straight pars and closed the second day at even-par and one-under on the back-nine.

Gailey's 71 in Round 2 was the second-lowest round in program history at an NCAA Regional, falling just two shots shy of the record (69; Angie Yoon, 2000,3rd round).

Leah John got off to a bumpy start on the front nine with a double bogey on two and three, as well as bogeys on four and eight during the 18-hole second round. John is tied for 54th after 36 holes at the Stanford Regional.

After the turn, John managed just four pars, did not make birdie and shot five bogeys to drop to 11-over for the round and 13-over through two rounds.

The Pack is back in action tomorrow at 8:55 a.m., Gailey tees off on Hole 1 in a group that includes Riana Mission (USF) and Kirsten Baete (Nebraska). John tees off on Hole 10 in a group that includes Siripatsorn Patchana (GCU) and Jennifer Koga (Sacramento State).
