FRESNO, Calif. – The Nevada women's golf team shot 32 over par to finish ninth in the Fresno State Classic at Belmont Country Club in Fresno, Calif.
 
Hawai'i led for much of the tournament and finished atop the table at one over, UC Irvine climbed eight spots to finish second (+17), hosts Fresno State dropped from second to finish third (+19), San Francisco shot 20 over to finish fourth, and Cal Poly (+21) rounded out the top-five.
 
Anitra Khoth climbed 21 spots to finish tied for seventh after shooting the second-lowest third round on the course (69) for a two-over score (76+73+69=218). Khoth posted just one bogey during the final round and four birdies, two on the front nine (1 and 6) and two on the back-nine (12 and 16) for an impressive third round. The only golfer on the course that posted a better round than Khoth was Angela Bagasbas of UC Irvine (65) as Khoth dominated the closing 18.
 
Leah John moved up three spots during the final round to finish tied for 25th after shooting a two-over 74 during the final 18 closing at seven-over for the tournament (73+76+74=223). John made three birdies, two on the front nine and one on the back-nine to close the Fresno State Classic.
 
Victoria Gailey fell 14 spots during the final 18 holes and finished tied with John for 25th at seven-over. Gailey ended with a 76 during the third round today (75+72+76=223).
 
Maddy Zunino sank a hole in one on hole 13 to highlight her tournament. Zunino finished 66^th (+19) with 74+81+80=235 marking for 54 holes. Kaitlin Fleiner (+20) shot 80 today and tied for 67th.
 
On the individual side, Kathleen Keomahavong tied for 60th with a 17-over after rounds of 75+77+81 for a 233 score. Kayla Nocum tied for 67^th with a 20 over, and Raesa Sheikh finished 73^rd at 21 over.

The Pack is back in action with the Cowgirl Classic hosted by Wyoming Apr. 4-5 at AK Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course in Maricopa, Ariz. This will be the final event of the season prior to the Mountain West Championships Apr. 18-20.
