SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Nevada women's golf finished in ninth place at The Gunrock Invitational following 54 holes over the last two days at Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, Calif.

The talented field was led by No. 1 Stanford finishing first at 50-under-par, including a 16-under-par marking following the final 18 holes of play today. No. 46 Washington finished second (-15), No. 37 Iowa State finished third (-13), No. 25 BYU finished fourth (-6), San Francisco finished fifth (+1), Cal Poly finished tied for 6
th with Sacramento State (+2), California finished eighth (+5), and Nevada finished ninth (+12).

The Pack entered the final day tied for sixth with No. 25 BYU at even-par, but a 12-over final round (300) dropped to ninth. Nevada finished the event with rounds of 293 (1st), 283 (2nd), and 300 (3rd) for a total of 876.

Leah John was sixth after the opening 36 holes but a four-over final 18 moved her to tie for 21 with a one-over score. John shot 215 for the 54-hole tournament which tied for the ninth-lowest in program history. Her 36-hole total tied for third-lowest in program history (139).
Anitra Khoth shot a 76 during her final round to finish tied for 35th with a four-over score.
Victoria Gailey shot a 73 during the closing 18, to tie for 26th with a one-over-par total.

Kaitlin Fleiner made two birdies, on one and 16, during her third-round 75 and finished 53rd with a 10-over score.
Danni Ujimori shot 19-over to tie for 62nd. The Wolf Pack finished with a team score of 876 which ties the third-lowest 54-hole tournament score in program history.Â

Competing as individuals,
Raesa Sheikh finished tied for 57th with a 14-over 54-hole tournament and
Maddy Zunino tied for 55th with a 12-over score.

The Pack is back in action on Mar. 7 as the team travels to Ewa Beach, Hawaii, to compete in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai'i at the Hoakalei Country Club.
