SPOKANE, WASH. – After a small day of competition on Thursday, three events concluded on Friday which saw six athletes compete throughout the day.
The Distance Medley Relay team race saw tons of success from their athletes, finishing the race in second place. The relay team that consisted of junior Tabatha Walford, sophomore Kylie Burton, sophomore Raegan Gorzeman, and senior Kate Rye finished with a time of 12:13.12. This time currently being the third fastest in the Mountain West.
Two other Wolf Pack athletes competed in their own events on Friday. Senior Iesha Hamm competed in the high jump, where the senior placed in sixth with a height of 1.71m. In the 5000m run, freshman Jasper Fievet finished the race with a time of 19:10.32. Her first collegiate 5000m race.
The rest of the team will compete tomorrow in the final day of the Washington State Invitational. The first events starting at 11 a.m.
