The 2021-22 Nevada women's basketball team made national noise, finishing fourth in the nation in free throw percentage with an 80.9 mark. That percentage also ranks 11th all-time in NCAA Division I women's basketball for a single season.
In addition to ranking towards the top of the Mountain West and NCAA in free throw percentage, Nevada broke more program records in 2021-22. The Pack set the program record for 3-pointers (201) and 3-point attempts (651) last season.
Nevada's 2021-22 squad ranked in the top 10 in program history in several categories, including wins (2nd, 20), longest win streak (2nd, 7), field goals made (2nd, 821), field goals attempted (2,027), fewest points allowed average (3rd, 62.5), points (4th, 2,199) and steals (5th, 307).
The Pack rewarded sophomore forward Hannah Hartley by officially putting her on scholarship on Nov. 4. Hartley is originally from Reno and graduated from Galena High School as a three-sport athlete. She is a third-generation Nevada student as her grandmother, parents, two aunts and an uncle all graduated from Nevada.
Monday's game at Saint Mary's will be a homecoming for a pair of Pack players. Junior forward
Lexie Givens (Alameda, California) will be playing 14 miles from home while junior guard
Tiffany Siu (Oakland, California) will be competing 16 miles from family and friends.
