RENO, Nev. - Nevada men's tennis aims to continue its season-opening winning streak this weekend, as it travels to Spokane, Wash., for three matches in three days.

The Pack (3-0) will take on host Gonzaga Friday at 4 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. Saturday match against Seattle University. The weekend will wrap Sunday at 10 a.m. as Nevada faces Idaho.

Nevada picked up three wins in the San Diego area last weekend, opening its spring season Saturday with a 4-0 victory at San Diego Christian College. The Pack followed that up with a doubleheader sweep of UC San Diego Sunday, taking decisions of 6-1 and 4-0.

Sophomore Juan Batalla was named Mountain West Player of the Week Wednesday, after going 4-0 for the weekend, with a pair of victories each in doubles and singles play.

This weekend's action is the midpoint of a busy January for the Pack, which will play a total of seven matches over the opening month.
