RENO, Nev. – Senior point guard Kylie Jimenez has been selected to take part in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "So You Want To Be A Coach" program. Jimenez is one of 61 student-athletes selected and the only player invited from the Mountain West.
 
Each student-athlete will participate in the two-day workshop on March 31 and April 1 during the WBCA Convention in Minneapolis.
 
The "So" program increases the understanding and application of skills necessary to secure coaching positions in women's basketball, increases the understanding and awareness of competencies necessary for success in coaching, introduces female basketball players to coaches and administrators, and raises awareness of the existing talent pool of female basketball players who have a passion and interest in coaching the game of women's basketball.

The Thornton, Colo., native has shined on the court for Nevada this season. Jimenez's 3.46 assist turnover ratio ranks second in NCAA Division I women's basketball. Additionally, Jimenez has compiled a 4.0 GPA in the Master's of Educational Leadership program in the fall. Starting in each of Nevada's 16 games this season, Jimenez averages 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and three assists per contest while leading the Nevada with 30 steals. Jimenez dished out a season-best 10 assists with zero turnovers while contributing three steals, three rebounds and two points against San Jose State on Dec. 31.
 
Jimenez is a major factor in Nevada's 12-4 overall record and 4-0 conference start, which is the Pack's first 4-0 conference start since the 2009-10 season.
