Nevada unveils 2021-22 non-conference schedule

RENO, Nev. Nevada women's basketball announced its 2021-22 non-conference schedule on Thursday. The schedule includes seven home games at Lawlor Events Center, including the Nugget Classic, three away games, and a trip to the Washington Tournament for two games.

The schedule features a game against 2021 NCAA qualifier Utah Valley (Nov. 20).

Season ticket holders from 2019-20 can renew by contacting the ticket office at 775-348-PACK (7225) or by emailing wolfpackticketinfo@unr.edu. For pricing and ticket options, click here (PDF). To order new season tickets, please click here.

"Our non-conference schedule will be a great challenge and will help prepare us for conference play," said head coach Amanda Levens. "We look forward to being back in Lawlor with all of our supporters. Our fans can look forward to some fantastic matchups in Reno this upcoming year."

The Pack, which went 13-9 last season, including a 7-3 home record, finished fifth in the Mountain West, its best finish since the 2013-14 season. Nevada will host an exhibition game against Fresno Pacific on Oct. 31 and then open its 2020-21 slate with Saint Mary's coming to town on Nov. 10.

Nevada hits the road to Santa Clara on Nov. 14 before returning to Reno to host Utah Valley on Nov. 20. The Pack will host Drake, Idaho and San Francisco for the Nugget Classic on Nov. 26-28.

After a Dec. 2 trip to Cal Poly, the Pack travels to Stockton, Calif., to face Pacific on Dec. 4.

Nevada then hosts UC Merced (Dec. 7) and Bushnell (Dec. 11) before closing out its non-conference slate against Washington and Eastern Washington at the Washington Tournament on Dec. 19-20.

Head coach Amanda Levens enters her fifth year with the Pack, returning 14 players and welcoming five newcomers. Nevada returns leading scorer and All-Mountain West selection Da'Ja Hamilton. Hamilton posted the third-most points in a single game in the Mountain West during the 2020-21 season after scoring 32 against UNLV on Feb. 1.

Also set to return in 2021-22 are Amaya West, Nia Alexander, Megan Ormiston, Leta Otuafi. The Pack returns 86 percent of its scoring while adding newcomers Kylie Jimenez, Audrey Roden, Kaylee Borden, Natalie Lathrop and Hannah Hartley. Kylie Jimenez, who is also Alyssa Jimenez's sister, is a Portland State graduate transfer. In four seasons with Portland State, Jimenez amassed 1,223 points and became one of three players in program history to record 1,000 points, 500 assists and 250 steals. Jimenez also tied the career record for most games started (122) in Portland State history. Nevada also adds freshman guard Audrey Roden, who was named a McDonald's All-American nominee and Maxpreps' No. 1 high school recruit in Oregon.
