Reno, Nev - Nevada volleyball team goes back on the road for two matches before returning to Virginia Street Gym the following week. The Pack will play Utah State and Boise State, in the hope to improve the 3-10 season record.Â
THE WEEKEND
First, the Pack will travel to Logan, Utah for a match against Utah State on Thursday, Sep. 30 at 7 p.m. MT before hitting the road again to Boise, Idaho for a match against Boise State on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. MT.Â
Nevada fans are welcome to attend the match against Boise State for free. A live stream will be available through the Mountain West Network, and live stats will be available on the Nevada Wolf Pack website.Â
LEADERS OF THE PACK
Continuing to lead the Pack, Sydney Petersen, Andrea Alcaraz, and Kaila Spevak are still sitting in the top 10 conference individual leaders ranking. Petersen is currently placed sixth in hitting percentage in conference with a .368. Junior Alcaraz has a total of 341 assists, averaging 7.75 assists per set is setting now in sixth place. Senior Spevak is placed in fifth and has recorded 170 digs, averaging 3.86 digs per set.Â
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
Utah State is currently sitting in sixth place in the Mountain West with a record of 9-5. The Aggies are coming off from a loss against Colorado State of three sets. The Aggies are led by Kennedi Boyd who also leads the conference hitting percentage with .391, while Tatum Stall leads the team in kills and service aces, with 151 and 23 respectively. Abby Peterson leads the team in digs with 158 and is currently sitting in ninth in the conference individual leaders ranking.Â
SCOUTING THE BRONCOS
The Broncos are currently sitting in fourth place in the Mountain West standings recording 12-2 this season, after coming off from a sweeping win against Wyoming. Boise State is led by Lauren Ohlinger with 187 kills, and 27 service aces sitting now in second and third, respectively, in the conference individual leaders ranking. Jolei Akima leads the team in digs, with 177, and is currently sitting in seventh in the conference ranking.Â
