WHAT'S NEXT: After a four-match road trip, the Nevada volleyball team returns home to Virginia Street Gym to play host to Boise State this weekend in a Mountain West Conference matchup. The teams will meet Friday at 6 p.m. and then run it back on Saturday at 11 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT: Nevada is coming off a four-match road trip in which itmade history with its first-ever road win at San Diego State and then swept the Aztecs. The Pack when lost a pair of matches at San Jose State last weekend to fall to 3-7 on the year.

ABBREVIATED SCHEDULE FORMAT: As a result of the pandemic, the Mountain West Conference has moved to a conference only 16-match schedule this spring. The format has teams playing the same opponent twice during the first six weeks, then playing the remaining four MW schools once each in the final three weeks ending April 3. The regular season champion will be the Mountain West's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.

SCOUTING THE BRONCOS: Boise State is 8-2 overall on the year and in second place in the Mountain West at the moment. The Broncos are coming off a sweep against New Mexico last weekend.
Boise State's Lauren Ohlinger leads the MW in kills at 4.11 per set so far this season. Teammate Annie Kaminski leads the league in hitting at .500, with Jessica Donahue ranking seventh at .348. Donahue also leads the league in blocks with 1.67
The Broncos are hitting .247 as a team this year and yielding a .182 hitting percentage from opponents.
Ohlinger was a preseason All-MW selection and Boise State was picked fourth in the league.

MW PRESEASON POLL: The Broncos  were picked to finish ninth in the preseason Mountain West poll, two spots below Nevada. SJSU libero Sarah Smevog was named to the preseason All-MW team 

THE SERIES: Boise State is one of Nevada's longest rivals and the series is even at 27-27. Nevada won the last two meetings in 2019, which snapped a four-match skid to the Broncos.
