THIS WEEK FOR THE WOLF PACK

WHAT'S NEXT: Nevada will conclude a six-match homestand this weekend when it plays host to Air Force in back-to-back matches on Friday and Saturday. Both matches will begin at 1 p.m.

FOLLOW THE ACTION: COVID-19 safety measures are in place at Nevada with attendance capped and limited to player and coach guests only. Matches will be live-streamed on the Mountain West Network and live scoring will also be available. Please see the links above.

ABBREVIATED SCHEDULE FORMAT: As a result of the pandemic, the Mountain West Conference has moved to a conference only 16-match schedule this spring. The format has teams playing the same opponent twice during the first six weeks, then playing the remaining four MW schools once each in the final three weeks ending April 3.

SCOUTING AIR FORCE: The Falcons are 2-2 on the young season and are coming off a split at home against San Jose State last weekend. Air Force also split with Colorado State to open the season, handing the Rams their only loss of the season.

MW PRESEASON POLL: The Falcons were picked to finish eighth in the preseason Mountain West poll, one spot behind Nevada.

THE SERIES: Nevada is 9-8 all-time against Air Force and won the last matchup, 3-0, in 2019 in Colorado Springs.

FRESH FACES: Nevada has seen instant impact from a number of its freshmen class and a pair of players find themselves amongst the conference's statistical leaders. Outside hitter Reke Monteleone is seventh in service aces and 0.50 per set and ninth in kills with 3.17 per set. She ranks eighth in the Mountain West in points with 3.91 per set. Freshman setter Andrea Alcaraz is fourth in the league in assists with 9.67 per set.
