Reno, Nev. - The Nevada volleyball team's weekend match against New Mexico, originally scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m., has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 24, at 9 a.m., due to travel issues each team faced Friday.
Admission for the match will be free. For fans that can't make it to the Virginia Street Gym, a live stream will be available through the Mountain West Network, and live stats are going to be available on the Nevada Wolf Pack website.
LEADING THE PACK
Sydney Petersen, Andrea Alcaraz, and Kaila Spevak continue to represent Nevada in the conference individual leaders rankings this season.
Petersen places herself in sixth overall in hitting percentage. The junior has a hitting percentage of .359 with a total of 159 kills. She also leads the Pack in blocks with 63. Petersen has updated her career record of total blocks with 277, and block assists with 256 after the match against the Air Force.
The junior Alcaraz is currently placed in fifth and has recorded 498 assists, averaging 7.43 per set.Â
Spevak leads the Pack defense and places herself fifth overall in the conference leaders ranking with 244 digs, averaging 3.64 per set. The senior is also leading the Pack in service aces, recording 23 so far this season.Â
SCOUTING THE LOBOS
The Lobos are placed in fifth place in the conference standings, coming off a 3-2 loss to San Jose State. Avital Jaloba, Kaitlynn Biassou, Uxue Guereca, Melissa Walden, Elizabeth Woods, and Alena Moldan are all ranked among conference leaders in several categories.Â
Jaloba ranks fourth in hitting percentage, with .365. Biassou is currently ranked second in kills, with 267, and seventh in service aces with 27 for the Lobos. Guereca positions herself in ninth for kills, with 206. Walden has recorded 579 assists, averaging 8.27 per set, and is ranked fourth overall. Woods is the lone Lobos player in the blocks rankings, positioning herself in ninth with 51 total blocks. Moldan is currently in third overall in digs (302), averaging 4.31 per set.Â
