RENO, Nev. – For the first time in her career, Nevada track & field student-athlete
Nicola Ader has earned a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection. With a 3.71 cumulative grade point average as a criminal justice major, Ader was one of 12 to be selected in District 7.
After being named all-district, Ader is now eligible to become a CoSIDA Academic All-American. The junior is the first recipient of this honor for the Wolf Pack track & field team since Anna DuBois earned a selection in 2016.
Earlier this week Ader also earned All-America honors for the 2020 indoor season from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). While only competing in only two meets during the indoor season, Ader qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championship in the high jump with her height of 1.82 meters. That height was earned at the Bronco Invitational, the first meet of the Pack's indoor season.
Ader also captured the gold medal in the high jump during the Mountain West Indoor Championship. Ader's height of 1.81m was good enough to earn her the medal and the title of Mountain West high jump champion.
