Nicola Ader earns All-America award

RENO, Nev. – After tying for sixth in the NCAA for the high jump and qualifying to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championship, Nicola Ader has earned All-America honors for the 2020 indoor season from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

This is the fifth time that Ader has earned the All-America award. This year's award will also be the third time that she will earn the honors for the high jump.

While only competing in only two meets during the indoor season, Ader saw herself qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championship with her height of 1.82 meters. This height was earned at the Bronco Invitational, the first meet of the Pack's indoor season.

The success during the season didn't stop there for Ader as she earned the gold medal in the high jump during the Mountain West Indoor Championship. Ader's height of 1.81m was good enough to earn her the medal and the title of Mountain West high jump champion.

"Normal policies dictate that All-America honors are awarded based on classifications of performance at the NCAA Championships. Due to the cancellation of the 2020 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, the NCAA Division I Track & Field Executive Committee adopted changes that include all student-athletes listed on the start list for the anticipated event," according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
