RENO, Nev. – With the Nevada track and field team already having success in Boise last weekend, they look to go back to continue their success in the Ed Jacoby Invitational this Friday and Saturday.

In the last indoor season, the Pack competed in the Ed Jacoby Invitational in its first official meet. The Pack saw success from junior Nicola Ader and sophomore Emily Costello last year in the meet. 

Ader set two personal records in the meet. One in the 60 meter hurdles and one in the high jump. Throughout last season, the junior tied the school record in the high jump with a distance of 1.83m. She also just last week broke the school all-time record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.46.

Just like Ader last week, Costello made it on the Nevada all-time list in the 400m run last year at the Ed Jacoby Invitational. She moved into a tie for eighth last season with her time of 56.61, as well as placing in second in the event. As of now the sophomore is in third place on the all-time list. 

The Ed Jacoby Invitational also saw personal records from a lot of the other athletes. Junior Lauren Green got fourth place in the 400m run and secured a personal record in the event with a time of 57.73. In the long jump, junior Kayla Afoa earned a third place finish and set a personal record with a distance of 18' 3.75" (5.58 m). 

Lastly, the Pack had success in the 60m dash and hurdles. Along with Ader, junior Agnese Mulatero had success in the 60m hurdles to make it into the finals with a time of 8.76. Sophomore Cece Stevenson also moved into the finals,  but for the 60m dash with a time of 7.84.

The Ed Jacoby Invitational will be from Jan. 24-25 as the Pack looks to continue its successful indoor season.
