RENO, Nev. – The 2019-20 season kicks off this weekend for the Nevada men's golf team at the Badger Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin. The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins on Sunday.
This marks the fourth straight year that the Wolf Pack opens its season at this event. Nevada grabbed the runner-up spot in its debut in this event three years ago and notched a tie for third last season. Senior
Sam Harned led all Wolf Pack returners last year, finishing just outside the top 10.
The field features 16 teams, including tournament-host Wisconsin and fellow Power 5 programs Iowa State, Kansas, Rutgers and Ole Miss. Nevada is the only team in the field from the Mountain West. The teams will play on University Ridge Golf Course, the home course of the Badgers, which has hosted multiple conference championships and a Champions Tour event.
Wilner, who enters his 10th season as the team's head coach, will send five to Wisconsin to compete for the Pack. This week's lineup includes four returners and one newcomer. Seniors

Tony Gil and Harned, along with sophomore
Trey Davis will all tee it up for Nevada once again. Freshman
Connor Motherway, a Reno native, will make his collegiate debut on Sunday.
