Nevada will battle the Broncos on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and the Aggies at 1 p.m. on Sunday to wrap up the conference-opening weekend.

Despite its current skid, Nevada has outplayed many of its opponents this season on the offensive end. In the season opener, it outshot Eastern Washington 21-10 and in its first match in Mackay Stadium on the year, Nevada outshot Weber State 14-8 and only allowed one corner kick. Nevada dominated possession time in its last time out against UC Davis, holding the ball for 73% of the contest, outshooting the Aggies 11-9 and earning two more corner kicks.

Nevada opens conference play with one of the toughest tasks in front of it, as it welcomes Boise State to Mackay Stadium this Friday. The Broncos currently sit with the best record in the conference, going 8-1 to start the season with 23 goals scored and only four allowed.

Leading the charge for the Broncos is the Mountain West's all-time leading scorer in Raimee Sherle, who leads the conference with 42 shots, 5.25 shots per game and is tied for first with six goals and 15 points.

On the defensive side, Boise State has been just as good, only allowing four goals all of this season.  Sydney Smith has started all nine games for the Broncos, and boasts a .902 save percentage with 37 saves and only four goals allowed for a goals against average of 0.45.

Utah State comes in having scored 10 goals on the year while tying with Nevada in allowing eight. Five of those goals came in one match against Marquette, tying them with Boise State for the most in a single match by a MW team this season.

Ashley Cardozo has been one of the most productive players in the conference thus far, as she has recorded the second-most assists in the MW for Utah State with five so far.

Kendal Stovall has shown no signs of a sophomore slump this season, as she is currently second in the Mountain West with 37 saves on the season and averaging 5.29 saves per game. She currently ranks fifth all-time in Nevada history with 136 career saves, and had fantastic game against Hawaii when she recorded a career-high 12 saves which is the most in a game in the MW this season.
