RENO, Nev. – After posting a 1-1 record following its season opening weekend, Nevada will head to Hawaii today to face the hosting Rainbow Wahine (0-2) on Thursday and Sacramento State (1-1) on Monday in the Rainbow Wahine Soccer Invitational. Both matches will be played at 6:30 p.m. PT.
The Wolf Pack fell in a heartbreaking season opener to Eastern Washington with a 1-0 overtime loss after outshooting the Eagles 21-10, but bounced back with a 2-1 comeback with at Pacific. Nevada's two second half goals by freshmen

Alexis Friesen came within two minutes of one another after trailing in the second half to secure the victory.
Nevada's road win over the Tigers was the first in program history.
After falling in a close 3-2 overtime loss against San Francisco on Monday, Hawaii will be gunning for its first win of the season against the Wolf Pack. The match will be broadcast via live stats through StatBroadcast.
Last season in Mackay Stadium, Nevada and Hawaii tied in a double-overtime thriller in Reno in which
Kathryn Yarbrough scored her first collegiate goal to tie the game at one in the second half. That score would remain for the duration of the contest. All time, the series between Nevada and Hawaii is tied 8-8-1, but Nevada has only won once on the Big Island (1-6 overall).
Hawaii and the Pack have both scored two goals this season, with Michaela
Rentner and Natalie Daub each scoring for the Rainbow Wahine. Hawaii has allowed six goals in two games, while Nevada and goalkeeper Kendal
Stovall have only surrendered two and only one per contest.
The Hornets hold a 1-1 record this year after falling at UC Davis 3-1 to open the year, but bounced back and took down Cal Poly at home in a 3-1 victory on Sunday. In two games, Sacramento State has scored four goals but also allowed four.
Junior forward Kylee Kim-Bustillos leads the Hornets with two goals and an assist on the season on just four shots. Nevada is outshooting Sacramento State 30-19 so far this season, but the Hornets have scored two more goals.
Nevada leads the all-time series against the Hornets 9-6-1, winning seven of the last nine contests. However, Sacramento State defeated the Pack last season 3-2.
