COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A Mountain West record 1,021 student-athletes have been named to the spring 2019 Academic All-Mountain West team, the Conference announced today. Spring sports include baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, softball, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field.  
 
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
 
The University of Nevada had 86 represented on the 2019 team, last season the Wolf Pack had 87 on the 2018 spring team. 
 
Track & field led the way for Nevada with 33 All-MW academic team selections followed by swimming & diving with 14.   Women's basketball and softball had eight selections each followed by baseball with seven and women's golf with six.  Women's tennis was represented by five athletes and men's tennis four.  Men's golf had one athlete earn academic honors.
