RENO, Nev. – The Nevada volleyball team has released its schedule for the 2019 season, as announced on Monday. The Pack will take on one team that competed in the 2018 NCAA Volleyball Tournament, and four that earned invites to the NIVC. 
 
The schedule features 12 home games, including nine Mountain West matches. The Pack will also host the Nevada Invitational from Sept. 20-21, featuring Nevada, Gonzaga, California Baptist and Southern Utah.
 
Fans will get their first chance to see the 2019 Wolf Pack squad at the Silver and Blue Scrimmage, tentatively scheduled for Aug. 20 at 6 pm. The team will then host Pacific for an exhibition game on Friday, Aug. 23. More info on those will be released soon.
 
Nevada will open the season in Sacramento, Calif., at the Sacramento State Invitational where the Pack will face CSU Bakersfield and Canisuis on Aug. 30 and host school Sacramento State on Aug. 31. 

The Pack stays on the road for two more non-conference tournaments - the University of San Francisco tournament (Sept. 6-7) and the Portland State Tournament (Sept. 13-14). The San Francisco tournament will put the Pack against Purdue Fort-Wayne, UC Riverside and San Francisco while the Portland State Tournament features CSUN, Morgan State and Portland State. 

Nevada's home opener will feature Southern Utah on Sept. 20 at noon before facing Gonzaga in the night game at 7 pm. On Sunday, Sept. 21, the Wolf Pack matches up with California Baptist to round out the Nevada Invitational and conclude non-conference play.

The Mountain West conference schedule for Nevada features nine home matches, the Silver State Series home matchup with UNLV on Oct. 19 and Senior Night against Colorado State on Nov. 23.
 
Head coach Lee Nelson enters his fifth year at the helm of the Nevada program and returns four key starters, including All-Mountain West honorable mention recipient Kayla Afoa. The program also brought on a new assistant coach in Korrin Wild, an alum of Mountain West foe Fresno State and joins Nevada after a stint at Seattle Pacific.
