RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada (8-6, 1-1 MW) men's tennis team takes to the road for a pair of Mountain West matches this weekend. The Wolf Pack is at intrastate rival UNLV (12-4 1-1 MW) on Friday at 5 p.m. and continue on to San Diego State (9-7, 1-1 MW) for a noon match on Sunday. The UNLV match is part of the Silver State Series.
The Pack went 2-1 at home last weekend in its first matches at the McArthur Tennis Center this season. In MW play Nevada defeated Air Force 4-3 and lost 4-2 to New Mexico. On Thursday the Pack defeated Sacramento State 5-2 in a non-conference match.
Daniel Dudockin (8-2) leads the Pack with eight wins playing at No. 4, 5 and 6 singles.
Jonathan Aremon (6-4) and
Kostya Nesterenko (6-5) have six wins each in dual action the spring. Aremon has played on courts three through six while Nesterenko has four of his six victories at No. 2 singles.
Matvey Radionov is 5-4 seeing time on courts four through six.
Jeremy Merville is 4-4 with the majority of his action coming at No. 3 singles where he is 4-3.
Julien Evrard is 5-7 with all his action being at No. 1 singles.
Evrard and Nesterkenko are 8-4 as the Pack's No. 1 doubles team. Aremon and Merville have combined to go 4-2 at No. 2 and 3 doubles. In total coach
Sylvain Malroux has used 14 different doubles teams in the spring that have a combined record of 17-17.
