FAIRFAX, Calif. – The Nevada women's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Meadow Club Collegiate on Monday and is in 11
th place.
The Wolf Pack could not quite get going on day one of the tournament, carding team scores of 303 in the morning and 302 in the afternoon. Nevada is at 29-over par for the event with 18 holes remaining. The Pack sits ahead of Boise State for 11
th place in the 12-team field by seven strokes.
Freshman
Victoria Gailey leads the way for the Wolf Pack as its highest ranking individual in a tie for 24
th place. Gailey fired the low Nevada round of the day, shooting an even par 72 in the opening round. She followed that up with a 4-over 76 in the second round and that is where she sits overall for the event.
The Pack has two currently tied for 44
th place in the 72-player field in senior
Chaithra Katamneni and junior
Katy Rutherford, who is entered as an individual this week. Katamneni carded rounds of 77 and 75 on the day, while Rutherford shot a 74 and 78. Both of them are at 8-over for the tournament. Just behind them is senior
Kaitlin Collom at 9-over and tied for 51
st after she shot rounds of 78 and 75 today. One shot behind Collom is freshman
Danni Ujimori who is tied for 56
th at 10-over par. Junior
Jenny Krause rounds of the Pack golfers in a tie for 61
st at 12-over par.
