NEVADA SET TO HOST NEW MEXICO FOR FIRST HOME CONFERENCE SERIES

Following its Mountain West opening series at San Diego State last weekend, Nevada will host its first conference opponent this season with New Mexico coming to Don Weir Field at Peccole Park March 15-17 ... Games will be played at 2 p.m., 2 p.m., and 12 p.m. ... Zack Bayrouty will be on the call for Nevada this weekend on 94.1 FM/1450 AM ... There will be no live stream of the games against the Lobos, but live stats will be available at www.nevadawolfpack.com/baseballls ... The Wolf Pack will host Saint Mary's on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ... The Gaels are 9-6 this year and will be the Pack's first home midweek contest of the year ... There will be a live stream available on the Mountain West Network ... John Ramey will have the radio call on 94.1 FM/1450 AM ... Nevada is coming off a weekend where it took one-of-three games at conference foe San Diego State ... The Pack's one win of the series came in Sunday's contest, when Nevada went to extra innings for the first time all year ... Tyler Bosetti and Nick Seamons knocked in RBI-singles in the 10th frame to give the Pack the lead and the eventual 6-5 victory for its first MW victory of the season ... Jaylon McLaughlin batted .500 on the weekend, totaling three hits in two separate contests to tie his career-high ... The Lobos boast two players batting over .400, including Jeff Deimling who is leading the entire conference with a .467 average and four home runs ... He will have to face the Wolf Pack's pitching staff, who has the best team ERA in the conference at 3.12 ... The Lobos hold the worst ERA in the conference at 5.63 but are tied with San Jose State with the best batting average at .319 ...  Despite the high team era, pitcher Justin Slaten boasts a 1.85 ERA and a 2-0 record in 24.1 innings pitched ... In comparison, Nevada's ace this season has been Ryan Anderson who has tossed 24 innings with a 1.88 ERA and 24 strikeouts and has been named the MW Pitcher of the Week once already this season ... The Gaels head into this weekend of play with a team batting average of .293 and team ERA of 4.20 ... After sweeping Utah Valley and picking up a win at Sacramento State, Saint Mary's has won their last four games as they ready themselves for series at home against the University of Pacific.
