AWARDS SEASON
One week after earning a selection to the Google Cloud Academic All-District second team for District VIII, senior
Jade Redmon picked up another award as she was named the Mountain West Player of the Week. Redmon averaged 19.0 points per game last week to help the Pack go undefeated, which included an upset win at Fresno State. Most recently at UNLV, she extended her streak of scoring in double figures to 23 games, which is every game she has played in this year. She is the only player in the conference to score in double figures in every game they've played in. She has her average up to 14.9 points per game, which leads the team and ranks fifth in the league.
HOMECOMING
Freshman
Essence Booker had quite the homecoming Wednesday night in Las Vegas. Booker, a graduate of Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, scored a career-high 13 points against rival UNLV. She finished 3-of-5 from the field and was near perfect from the free throw line, hitting 7-of-8. She also tied her season high of four rebounds in the game and added one assist and one steal in her 24 minutes on the floor. Her 24 minutes were the most she has played since she also played 24 minutes at Air Force on Jan. 19.
TIP TIP TERAE
Senior

She was named the Mountain West Player of the Week for the first time in her career after scoring a career-high 24 points in the team's win over Hawai'i but then followed that up with setting a new career high of 30 points at Utah State. Briggs picked up her ninth double-double of the season in the win over SDSU with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Her nine double-doubles are third-most in the conference. Briggs currently ranks eighth in the league in scoring, fifth in rebounding, fifth in field goal percentage, fourth in defensive rebounds and is sixth in offensive rebounds.
