EWA BEACH, Hawai'i – Ending its 2019 fall season on a high note, the Nevada men's golf team earned a seventh place finish at the Hoakalei CC Invitational.
The Wolf Pack shot a 1-over team round of 289 on the final day, but still finished the tournament under par, posting a 4-under score for the week. Nevada was one of just eight teams in the 20-team field to stay under par for the event. No. 32 East Tennessee State won the event at 29-under par, nine shots ahead of runner-up Ole Miss.
On an individual side, senior
Sam Harned, who is currently ranked as the 82
nd-best player in the nation, led the Pack with a top 15 finish. Harned tied for 14
th after finishing the tournament at 4-under par. He recorded the only Pack round under par on the final day, shooting a 2-under 70, his best of the week. Nevada got an even par round out of senior
Tony Gil on Wednesday as he secured a tie for 52
nd place, finishing the event at 3-over par.

Sam Meek, who carded a 5-over 77 for his final round. The Pack's second-highest finisher was sophomore
Peyton Callens, who tied for 40
th in the 114-player field at 1-over par. Fellow sophomore
Trey Davis rounded out the Pack lineup in a tie for 67
th after carding a 2-over 74 in the final round.
Nevada will return to the course to begin its spring season March 6-7 at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Las Vegas, Nev.
