HENDERSON, Nev. – It was a much improved day for the Nevada women's golf team at Boulder Creek Golf Club as the team jumped into the top 10 after two rounds of play.
The Wolf Pack combined for a team score of 300 on Monday and shaved 18 strokes off of its score from round one to round two to jump six spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for 10
th. Nevada is tied with Northern Illinois at 42-over par for 10
th with 18 holes remaining in the tournament. Tournament host UNLV notched the low team round of the day to take over the lead. The Rebels will enter Tuesday's final round with a seven-shot lead over South Dakota State and San Francisco.
All four of Nevada's counting scores from the day were 3-over rounds of 75. All four players who carded a 75 on Monday, improved their score from the first round by at least four strokes. Sophomore
Victoria Gailey ranks the highest on the individual leaderboard from Nevada as she is tied for 36
th in the 96-player field. Gailey collected six birdies throughout her round to lead the team and is 10-over for the tournament.

Danni Ujimori had the biggest movement on the individual leaderboard as she jumped 20 spots into a tie for 49
th. Ujimori is tied with her senior teammate
Jenny Krause at 12-over for the tournament. Krause was the only Wolf Pack player not to improve on their score from Sunday, but stayed the same with her second consecutive round of 78. Fellow senior
Katy Rutherford moved 15 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 43
rd after the second round, and freshman
Anitra Khoth is currently tied for 67
th after her round of 75 brought her up 18 spots.
Elina Saksa of UNLV continues to lead on the individual side and enters the final round at 4-under par, four shots better than three who are tied for the runner-up spot. Saksa is the only player in the field currently under par for the tournament.
