Talton named MW Special Teams Player of the Week

RENO, Nev. – For the third time this season, true freshman placekicker Brandon Talton has been named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week.
 
Talton hit his second game-winning field goal of the season on Saturday, pushing the Wolf Pack to a 41-38 win over San Jose State as time expired from 40 yards out. Talton was 2-of-2 in the game, also knocking down a 25-yard field goal in the second quarter. He totaled 11 points in the game as he was also perfect on PAT attempts, going 5-of-5.
 
Through six games of the 2019 season Talton has been perfect, making 12-of-12 field goal attempts with a long of 56 yards. He is one of nine players nationally that have not missed a field goal attempt this season. His 12 field goals made ranks second in the nation among players who have not missed, behind Peyton Henry of Washington who has hit 14-of-14.
