RENO, Nev. - Coming off a tough loss to Colorado State, the Nevada Wolf Pack is looking to bounce back in Laramie, Wyo. as it takes on the Cowgirls of Wyoming on Saturday, Sept. 22 and 12 p.m. PT.
Wyoming is currently 9-4, 1-0 on the season after picking up a road win on Thursday night against San Jose State. The Pack moved to 7-5, 0-1 after hosting the Rams of Colorado State last night.
Nevada continues to be led offensively by junior
Jamila Minor and sophomore
Kayla Afoa but sophomore
Camryn Rocha has emerged and found herself in the starting rotation. The Soquel, Calif. native now has two double digit kill performances under her belt and is finding her rhythm.
Senior
Mo Maluotoga and Afoa have combined for over 300 digs to help the team lead the Mountain West in digs per set where the Pack has only 60 combined blocks putting them in eleventh. The Cowgirls however sit first in team blocks with 142.5 and sixth in digs.
This match marks the 15th meeting of Nevada and Wyoming where the Cowgirls currently lead the series 11-3.
