RENO, Nev. – The Nevada volleyball team (2-1) continues its road swing at the Holiday Inn Express Invitational, hosted by Northern Illinois, on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
The Pack will play three matches in two days, facing Virginia (0-3) and Northern Illinois (1-2) on Friday and Northern Kentucky (2-1) on Saturday. The match against Virginia is set for 8 a.m. PT with the Northern Illinois match beginning at 5 p.m. PT. On Saturday Nevada meets Northern Kentucky at 9 a.m. PT to wrap up the tournament. This marks the first meeting between Nevada and both Virginia and Northern Kentucky.
Leading the offensive strike is junior Jamila Minor and sophomore Sam Hayward. Both were named to the All-Tournament team this past weekend at the UC Davis Invitational. Minor, leads the team in kills with 44 through three matches with Hayward in second with 36. Junior Dalyn Burns leads the team in assists with 107 while senior Mo Maluotoga leads in digs with 44.
