Zheng receives CSCAA All-American honors

RENO, Nev.  – Following one of the most historic diving careers in conference history, senior Sharae Zheng has earned College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-American status after her performance at the 2018 NCAA Championships.

Recently, Zheng was awarded MW Diver of the Year honors after sweeping all three diving events at the 2018 MW Championship. It marked the second consecutive season that she received the accolade as she became just the third student-athlete in the conference's history to sweep all three events at the conference meet.

During her time at Nevada, Zheng finished her career with eight gold medals at the MW Championship, which is a conference record. She also holds four medals from the NCAA Championships, following her 2018 performance.

At this year's NCAA Championships, Zheng placed in the top three in both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard. Her third place finish (325.25) in the 1-meter springboard and second place finish (394.95) in the 3-meter springboard helped lead Nevada to a 24th place finish at the NCAA Championships.
