RENO, Nev. – With the first pick in the second round of the NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected former Nevada offensive lineman
Austin Corbett.
Corbett, who began his collegiate career as a walk-on, was the 33
rd overall pick in the draft becoming the second-highest selection of a Nevada player. He will join former teammate Joel Bitonio on the offensive line with the Browns.
Corbett, a local product from Sparks, was dominant in his senior season with the Wolf Pack, anchoring one of the best offensive line units in the conference. The Pack allowed just 16 sacks despite a league-high 451 passing attempts this season. He was also selected the team's Basalite Big Blocker of the year earlier this week. He finished his Nevada career as a three-time All-MW honoree with 48 consecutive starts.
