RENO, Nev. – Wrapping up its final nonconference match of the season, the Nevada Men's tennis team (15-6) secured its 15th victory of the season after a 4-3 defeat of UC Davis (6-17) at the McArthur Tennis Center on Wednesday. The Wolf Pack will host Fresno State this Saturday at 11 a.m. before playing in the Mountain West Tournament.

Between the doubles and singles matches against the Bulldogs this weekend, Peter O'Donovan, Robert Margitfalvi and Augustin Delahodde will be honored in celebration of senior day.

The afternoon began in the Aggie's favor, winning the doubles points with victories on courts No. 1 and 2. O'Donovan and Delahodde picked up their 10th doubles victory of the spring season with a 6-2 victory on court No. 3.

After losing only its third doubles point of the season, the Pack began to roar back in singles play. After Margitfalvi had to retire from his match, Nevada rattled off three straight singles victories to take a 3-2 lead. Freshman Jeremy Merville secured a 7-5, 6-3 victory on court No. 4, and sophomore Kostya Nesterenko earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory of his own on court No. 2.

Named the Mountain West Player of the Week after his performance against San Diego State and UNLV, sophomore Julien Evrard proved why he received the honor on court No. 1. Evrard gave the Pack its third point of the day defeating Ivan Thamma 7-5, 6-3.

UC Davis tied the match after defeating O'Donovan on court No. 6, but Delahodde was able to clinch the victory on court No. 5 in three sets. Delahodde secured the win over Tommy Lam by a score of 7-6 (7-4), 0-6, 6-3.

The match on Saturday against Mountain West foe Fresno State will end the regular season for the Wolf Pack. Live stats of the match will be available here.
