RENO, Nev. – Having gone without a series loss since the start of the conference play, the Nevada softball team hits the road again for a three-game set against San Diego State April 13-15. When the two teams last met in San Diego in 2016, the Wolf Pack won its first game in program history in San Diego against the Aztecs.
Nevada heads into the weekend possessing one of the most dynamic offense's in the country, as the team currently ranks 20th in the nation with its .316 batting average. The Wolf Pack's offense also enters the series holding top 35 rankings in five other categories and leads the Mountain West in nearly every major offensive statistic during conference play.
Last time out, Nevada split its pair of games with conference-leading San José State as the third and final game of the series was postponed to a later date due to inclement weather. The Wolf Pack won the second game of the series in walk-off fashion, courtesy of freshman

In the win, sophomore
Kenzi Goins went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while launching her fifth home run of the season in the process. Goins recorded a double in that same contest as well.
The weekend also saw senior
Erika Hansen continue to make her case for an All-American honor, having smashed her 11th home run of the season and scoring three runs in the two games. Hansen enters this series with the Aztecs having hit safely in her past 12 games, which is the longest hitting streak during her time at Nevada.

- After beginning the 2018 campaign with a sluggish start that saw some of the best teams in the country, San Diego State enters this weekend coming off a series win against UNLV, where the Aztecs took two out of three games from the Rebels.
- At the plate, SDSU has four players on its roster that has logged over 100 at-bats on the season. With Molly Sturdivant leading the offense with four home runs and a team-best 21 RBIs on the year, the Aztecs look to carry its momentum against the Wolf Pack.
- In the circle, San Diego State holds a pair of hurlers that trade off sharing the load of the pitching staff. While Alex Formby possess an ERA of 2.39 that ranks top five in the conference, Marissa Moreno has earned the most nods in the MW with her 27 starts on the season.
