RENO, Nev. – Sitting with a perfect 4-0 record, the Nevada men's tennis team will travel to California this weekend to play at Saint Mary's (1-3) and at Sacramento State (0-4). The Wolf Pack has won all four of its matches on the road this spring.
After two dominating 6-1 victories at Sonoma State and Holy Names last weekend, the Pack is hungry to keep its perfect record intact. Junior Augustin Delahodde and senior Peter O'Donovan each lead Nevada this spring with three singles victories, with the team going 17-7 in singles matches this season.
Nevada has been nearly unstoppable in doubles, posting a 10-2 record including a perfect 4-0 record on court No. 3. Court No. 1 has been held down by senior Robert Margitfalvi and freshman Jeremy Merville, who are 2-0 when playing in the top spot and 4-0 overall as a tandem.
The Gaels will host the Pack coming off a three match losing streak, with a roster split with five upperclassmen and lowerclassmen. The Hornets have yet to win a match this season and sit at 6-18 as a team in singles matches.
