LAS VEGAS - Nevada Men's Tennis wrapped the first day of the ITA Mountain Regional Championships Wednesday in Las Vegas, the first round of doubles and the qualifying rounds of singles taking place.

Bids to the 2025 NCAA Individual Championships are up for grabs at the event. The winner of the 64-team doubles tournament and the two finalists of the singles main draw qualify for the national championships, set for November 18-23 at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida.

In doubles first round, Max Contet and Greg Valente went the distance against Hayden Ciguenza and Rafael Maya, prevailing 7-3 in the tiebreaker for the 8-7 victory. The win gives the Wolf Pack four tandems in Thursday's second round, set to begin at 9 a.m. from Darling Tennis Center.

Two rounds of qualifying took place in singles, as players vied for the 16 spots available in the 64-player main draw. Rémy Trégourès, who had a bye into the second round of qualifying, reached Thursday's main draw with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Utah State's Jakub Medved. Valente, who needed two wins to qualify, defeated Utah's AJ Deem, 7-6 (4), 6-4, but fell a match shy, dropping a tight 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (7) decision to BYU's Alexander Edmonston.

Trégourès joins Sebastiano Cressi, Rayen Hermassi, and Axel Huysmans in the singles main draw.

Action continues Thursday with doubles second round at 9 a.m., and the singles main draw set for 10:15 a.m.
