LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Nevada women's golf team concluded its run at the Rebel Beach Invitational on Tuesday with a 10
th place finish in the 12-team field.
The Wolf Pack posted its best team score of the event on Tuesday with a 304 and combined for a three-round score of 923 to secure 10
th place. Nevada finished ahead of two Mountain West schools in Colorado State and Wyoming. Tournament co-host and fellow MW member, UNLV, won the event at 17-over par, two shots better than runner-up Ole Miss. None of the 12 teams in the field finished under par as the participants experienced tough scoring conditions on both days.
Leading the way for the Pack was senior
Celyn Khoo, who notched her third top 15 finish of the season with a tie for 11
th place. Khoo carded one of the best individual rounds of the day with an even par 72 to finish the event at 8-over. Helping her achieve that even par round was an eagle on the par 4 15
th, her first of the season.

Chaithra Katamneni had very similar days as each of them shot rounds of 78 to tie for 39
th place. Sophomore
Katy Rutherford recorded her best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a 4-over 76 and earned a tie for 53
rd in the 70-player field. Fellow sophomore
Jenny Krause also notched her best round of the week with a 79 and finished in a tie for 62
nd.
Kendra Dalton of BYU and Julia Johnson of Ole Miss tied for individual medalist honors as both finished the tournament at even par.
Nevada will not have much time to rest as it returns to competition next week, March 5-6, at the Fresno State Classic at Copper River Country Club.
