RENO, Nev. - Sophomore Kassie McGill has joined the Nevada Wolf Pack volleyball roster as announced by head coach Lee Nelson Monday.
McGill comes to the Pack from the University of California, Riverside where she played her freshman season. Coming in at 6-1, McGill will play right side for Nevada. A strong lefty, she should fit well into the slot.
"We're very pleased Kassie is joining the program," Nelson said. "We're always looking to add offensive depth and weapons to the team, and we're happy to have her."
McGill hails from El Dorado Hills, Calif. where she went to Oak Ridge High School, the same school redshirt freshman Hailey Maniglia attended as well as sophomore football player Daylon Johnson. She lettered in all four years of high school while helping lead her team to two consecutive top three state finishes in 2015 and 2016.
Her club team qualified for nationals in 2017, where McGill helped lead her team to a third place finish. As an individual, McGill earned all-tournament honors.
McGill started attending Nevada for the spring of 2018 and is majoring in business.
