FRESNO, Calif. – The Nevada men's tennis team wrapped up day two of Fresno State's Bulldog Classic on Saturday, going 9-4 across singles and doubles. The Wolf Pack has athletes in five of the 12 finals that will be played today.
The Pack was a perfect 3-0 in doubles on Saturday, with
Benjamin Campi and
Dylan Levitt advancing to the flight C final after a duo from Sacramento State retired. In the flight A consolation bracket,
Daniel Dudockin and
Matvey Radionov topped Matis Bot and Abishek Bastola of Saint Mary's 8-6 to move into the final. In the flight B consolation,
Jeremy Merville and Delmas N'tcha defeated UC Davis' Arjith Jayaraman and Mitchell Iwahiro 8-7(7) to earn a trip to tomorrow's final.
In singles, the Pack was 6-4 on the day. Campi earned a victory over UC Santa Barbara's Lovedeep Singh by default, then advanced to the final when Sacramento State's Johannes Gjerdaker retired after dropping the first set 6-2.
In the flight C consolation bracket, Levitt advanced to the final after a 7-5, 6-0 victory over San Francisco's Shotaro Lida and a 7-6(4), 7-5 victory over Jackson Hawk of Saint Mary's. In the singles flight B, Radionov defeated Azusa Pacific's Ryan Nuno 6-4, 6-3 before falling in the semifinals to San Francisco's Phuc Huynh 1-6, 6-3, 7-5.
In flight A consolation, Merville advanced to the semifinals with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over UC Davis' Chethan Swanson, before falling to Saint Mary's Bot 7-5, 6-3.
The Wolf Pack will complete the three-day-long tournament today.
