DENVER, Colo. – The Nevada women's golf team got a top 10 performance from freshman
Victoria Gailey at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate and placed 11
th as a team.
The Wolf Pack carded a team round of 299 (+11) on Sunday to finish the event at 38-over par and earn 11
th place in the 16-team field. Nevada was just one shot shy though of earning a top 10 team finish in its third event of the fall. Mountain West foe Colorado State took the team title at 4-under par and was the only team in the field to finish under par. The Rams won the event by 11 shots over runner-up Ole Miss.
Gailey tied for ninth place in the 90-player field, recording her best finish of the season and her second top 10 in three events. The Oregon native fired a 1-over 73 for her final round to finish the tournament at 2-over par, five strokes behind individual winner Ellen Secor of Colorado State. During the final round, Gailey played a perfect back nine with birdies on No. 11 and 17 and no bogeys.

Jenny Krause, who found herself in a tie for 86
th place after the opening round, recovered in the next two rounds to move up to a tie for 50
th, the second-best individual finish for the Pack. Krause carded a 2-over 74 in the final round and played her final 36 holes at 3-over. Senior
Chaithra Katamneni recorded a 77 on Sunday to finish the event at 14-over and in a tie for 59
th. Junior
Katy Rutherford was one shot behind Katamneni overall and tied for 64
th after carding a season-best 75 today. Senior
Kaitlin Collom tied for 75
th and shot a 77 in the final round.
Nevada will compete in its final tournament of the fall Oct. 21-23 at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Henderson, Nev.
