RENO, Nev. – The Nevada volleyball team continues on the road for a Saturday evening match against Utah State in Logan, Utah. The two teams will matchup at 6:30 p.m. PT.
The Pack fell to the Boise State Broncos, 3-0, on Thursday evening, moving it to 8-14, 1-10 on the year. Utah State dropped its home match on Thursday to San Jose State and moved to 4-18, 2-9. Nevada's lone conference win was against the Aggies in Reno earlier this season.
In the previous match between these two teams the Pack claimed the first, third and fifth sets with the Aggies taking the second and fourth. Nevada was led by junior Jamila Minor, who had 20 kills in the contest but three Pack members had double-doubles including Minor. Sophomore Kayla Afoa and junior Dalyn Burns recorded double-double efforts while Camryn Rocha gave the Pack three players with 10 plus kills.
Hailey Maniglia and Shiloh Peleras has standout performances as well, combing for eight blocks in the match. Nevada also had five players notch double digit digs in Minor, Afoa, Burns, Mo Maluotoga and Ryan Blackwood.
