In its 32nd year, National Girls and Women in Sports Day acknowledges the accomplishments of female athletes, the positive influence of sports participation and the continuing struggle for equality for women in sports. It is celebrated annually in all 50 states with events, awards ceremonies and other activities. Nevada and its partners aim to celebrate the power and potential of girls and women by empowering them to participate in sports and embrace physical activity.
