RENO, Nev. – Coming off a competitive loss to ranked Colorado State, the Nevada Wolf Pack (9-18, 7-8 MW) will face off with the Wyoming Cowgirls (15-12, 10-5 MW) in another challenging matchup Saturday.
First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday morning in Virginia Street Gym. The match was -rescheduled from its previous 1 p.m. start time. After falling Thursday night, Nevada will seek to get back up to .500 both in conference play and at home. Wyoming owns the series record 9-3, but the two teams have been competitive in recent seasons, exchanging wins and losses.
"We showed some life against a ranked CSU team, and that was awesome to see," head coach Lee Nelson said. "If we can really execute and close out sets, we'll compete well on Saturday."
Someone who has been competing well since returning from injury is senior Madison Foley. The outside hitter recorded her sixth straight match with at least 10 kills, racking up 11 against the Rams. In the 10 matches she's played at outside hitter since coming back, she's hit double-figure kills eight times and has recorded three double-doubles.
Wyoming beat Nevada in straight sets on the road back in October, putting the Wolf Pack in a position to seek some revenge on Saturday.
