RENO, Nev. – After a stellar performance Saturday night against Hawai'i, junior quarterback
Ty Gangi has been named the Bradley, Drendel and Jeanney Nevada Student-Athlete of the Week.
Gangi completed 25 of his 32 passes against the Rainbow Warriors on Saturday night, racking up 278 yards in the air. He threw four touchdowns with just one pick, and rushed in another from 17 yards out, a personal season long. He is the first Nevada quarterback to throw for four touchdowns since 2011. His completion percentage of 78 percent was also historic, as he's the only Wolf Pack quarterback to hit that mark since Nevada joined the Mountain West in 2012.
Each week, the Nevada Wolf Pack will name one of its student-athletes the Athlete of the Week based on performances from every sport the week prior.
