WAHIAWA, Hawai'i – The Nevada women's golf team opened play on Tuesday at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational.
The Wolf Pack is currently in ninth place in the 12-team field after the opening 36 holes of the event. Nevada carded a team score of 298 in the first round but struggled with a 307 in the second round. Nevada is 29-over par after the first two rounds. Ole Miss is the only team in the field under par at 3-under and leads second place Grand Canyon by three strokes heading into Wednesday's final round.
Senior
Jordan Keyser led all Wolf Pack players on the day and is tied for 24
th in the 69-player field. Keyser fired the low Nevada round of the day in the morning session with a 1-over 73. She posted a 4-over 76 in round two, due in large part to a triple bogey on No. 6.
Fellow senior
Celyn Khoo did not register any crooked numbers on her scorecard today but posted more bogeys than birdies, finishing with rounds of 75 and 77. Khoo is currently tied for 37
th place. Sophomore
Jenny Krause recorded a solid score of 75 in her first round but struggled in round two to shoot a 78. Krause is tied for 42
nd. Juniors
Chaithra Katamneni and
Kaitlin Collom are in 51
st and a tie for 55
th, respectively.
Sydney Colwill leads on the individual side at 6-under par. She leads by three shots over second place Julia Johnson of Ole Miss and Nishtha Madan of Sacramento State.
