PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Wolf Pack women's tennis senior Claudia Herrero participated in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships on Tuesday. Herrero went 1-1, advancing to the second round of the qualifying singles before getting eliminated from the tournament.
Herrero began her day facing off against Eva Marie Voracek from Loyola Marymount University. She lost the first set, but came back to win 5-7, 6-1 and 7-5.
In the second round, Herrero battled Olivia Hauger from the University of California, Berkeley who had upset the sixth seed in the tournament in the first round. Hauger got the 6-2, 6-2 victory and bumped Herrero from the tournament.
The Nevada women's tennis team will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah on Oct. 13 for the USTA/ITA Regionals. Follow the team on Twitter to keep up with its progress this fall.
